The Sketchbook Project 2012

Sketchbooks for the 2012 Sketchbook Project have to be post marked by 31st January and I've finished just in time!......phew.
The theme I chose was TREE HOUSE.

I've always loved the idea of living in a tree house in one of those amazing Morton Bay Fig Trees with the crazy big roots.  It would be like living in "The Faraway Tree" (but with all the mod-cons, of course).

Anyway.... below are the little artworks that went into my sketchbook.  I love using ink and making mixed media collages.  I like gathering up all sorts of bits and bobs - that on their own might not be that interesting, but put them together make and they make something unique.

Among the trees

For this years Sketchbook Project my theme is "treehouse".  I LOVE trees - I think they are so beautiful. One day, when I grow-up....I wanna live in my very own tree house....

Here is a little inspiration....

  .....stay tuned for some sketchy-type up-dates.  :)

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!

Yay ....a shiny brand new year is before us.  I can't wait to see how this year pans out.  There are so many things I want to do and achieve and discover!....

One thing I can already cross off my list is "finish my sketchbook for The Sketchbook Project".....I am really happy with the outcome and can't wait to go and visit my little sketchbook and the Brooklyn Art Library one day  :).  I decided that rather than filling each page with it's own little artwork, that I would make one huge artwork and cut it down to fit into my sketch book.

Some picture are attached, but if you want to checkout my portfolio click here > www.arthousecoop.com/users/lovedove

I recommend everyone join in next years Sketchbook Project.  Sign up should be starting again soon - go to www.arthousecoop.com  - it is such great fun and it really gets the creative juices flowing.
